Explore Agriculture & the Everglades This Summer

Summer at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market offers a unique opportunity for students, camps, and groups to explore South Florida agriculture and the Everglades ecosystem during the off-season.

While our production fields rest and prepare for planting, guests will experience educational adventures focused on wildlife, water management, native ecosystems, and Florida agriculture.

Our summer field trips combine hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and fun educational experiences designed for camps, schools, homeschool groups, churches, and organizations.

What’s Included

Everglades Educational Experience

Students will discover:

• The unique Everglades ecosystem
• Native plants and wildlife
• Water conservation and irrigation
• How South Florida agriculture and the Everglades work together

Depending on weather and conditions, groups may enjoy visits to:

• The Everglades levee overlook
• Cypress boardwalk trail
• Marsh and wildlife viewing areas

Every experience is guided by our educational team and tailored to the age and interests of your group.

Experiences

Summer visits may also include:

• Produce tastings
• Agricultural demonstrations
• Pollinator education

Our guides tailor presentations based on the age group and interests of each organization.

Optional Add-On Activities:

Make your visit even sweeter with:

• Homemade ice cream
• Gem mining
• Lunch under the tiki hut

• Days Offered: Monday–Friday
• Start Time: 10:00 AM
• Recommended Arrival: 9:45 AM
• Duration: Approximately 2–2.5 hours
• Recommended Minimum: 20 participants

Rain or Shine Adventures

Summer weather in South Florida can be unpredictable, but the fun doesn’t stop here at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market.

Our summer field trips are designed to continue rain or shine, and our team will adjust activities as needed to provide a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for your group. In the event of inclement weather, portions of the trip may be modified or moved under covered areas.

We recommend guests dress comfortably for outdoor conditions and bring rain gear when needed.
